Australian Wool Market Price Increases

This week, the Australian wool market averaged 1.8% higher in the Sydney, Melbourne and Freeman markets.

This week, the AWEX EMI price index rose 17 points (+2.3%) to 742 points /kg.

The northern market rose 19 points (+2.5%), while South market rose 14 points (+2.0%). This week's relative regional price index closed at 768 points and 721 points (skim wool) respectively.

Western market this week

The index rose 6 points (+0.9%) to 703 points.

On the two trading day in Sydney and Melbourne, AWEX EMI rose 12 points on Wednesday and rose 5 points on Thursday.

Western Freeman market prices rose 9 points on Wednesday and 3 points on Thursday.

This week reported 43619 packages of goods, compared with 47621 packages last week, with a pass rate of 7%.

Sydney is 3.3%, Melbourne is 5.6%, and Freeman is 12.5%.

Merino and Benkanmaw were 8% and 6.2% respectively. About 1331 packages (3%) had been withdrawn before the auction, and the re quoted offer accounted for 12% of the supply of goods this week.

In dollar terms, AWEX EMI rose 15 points (+3.2%), rising by 5 points in accordance with the euro (+1.4%).

The price of broken wool rose 6 points again.

This week, Chinese buyers dominate the market, and buyers from India and Europe also support the market.

Sydney, Melbourne and Freeman will continue trading next week. The number of registered sales is 45336 packs.

The two trading day is expected to sell 44370 packages and 45800 packages respectively.

The South African market quoted 10163 packages of cargo, Cape wool.

Price

The index has fallen 3.2% since last week, and Rand has appreciated 2.1% against the dollar and rose to 0.8% against the euro.
